9 th GENERATION

RUDOLF (adult in 1535) son of Niklaus, citizen and miller in Bremgarten. He bought on Jan. 25, 1549 from Hans Mueller the butcher as the judiciary for the children of the reposed Michel Weltzen their mill, in Baden above the upper gate, named Schadenmuehle with house and courtyard, stone and all the mills utensils as well as the grinding mill “bluiwen” the barn and three meadows for 100 Gulden above the custody and into possession of Ulrich Borsinger, his son, with the moderation that he keeps himself rightly and well; in case this should not be and he should not follow the rules, then he should have the power to stand to the mill and again sell it or to put someone in charge to his liking (Copyen 111 ff} Through generations the, in such way acquired, mill stayed in the families possession.

10 GENERATION

ULRICH Borsinger, born around 1523 and died Febr.12, 1560. Originator of the Baden branch, Schadenmueller, became citizen of Baden on July 1,1549 and as it was the custom for new citizens, he was at ones accepted into the LX in 1551 (which I believe was a Council of 60), but he soon died, leaving behind some of the children still under age. Hans Jacob Jeuch from Ennetbaden and his wife, born Verena Borsinger, sold their inheritance from their father and mother Jakob Borsinger for180 Gulden(Febr,2,1560,RM VI 339)and on Aug.4, 1565 the deed was drawn with the children’s magistrate as well as the execution of the inheritance.
JAKOB, born 1540 and died Jan.10, 1611, took over the Schadenmuehle in 1560 with all it’s equipment and bought out all his brothers and sisters (RM VI 404, 405). In 1565 member of the chamber of the XL, 1569 wheat inspector, 1603 Congressman (or senator) Commander of the suburban troops. Married 1.) ? August 22,1565, 2.) Verena Staubli 1565, 3.) Adelheid Kuntz Nov, 27, 1600 (on Aug.26, 1620 mentioned as alive). After the death of his first wife, he put 500 Gulden in memory of his departed wife into the sons out of the first marriage’s estate, and put it into the mill (22/Aug.1565 das 484). His brothers and sisters are not all known by their names; one brother moved away, and then on Febr.19, 1567 the town clerk noticed: Niklaus Borsinger a manns right (probably full citizenship), his father Ulrich Borsinger his mother
